Twentynine Palms man faces attempted murder charge for alleged stabbing

One Twentynine Palms man is behind bars and faces an attempted murder charge after he stabbed another Twentynine Palms man Saturday night. At 9:41 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputies were flagged down at Sunnyvale Drive and Morongo Road, and they found a 41-year-old man suffering from a stab wound, authorities said in a news release. The alleged assailant was identified as 41-year-old Rudy Garcia, and he was found nearby and arrested. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $1 million bail. He was due to appear in court Wednesday morning, though the results of that appearance were not immediately available. Anyone with information is asked to call 760-366-4175. LAPD, FBI announce ‘Mexican Mafia’ arrests; guns and drugs seized

Several high-ranking members of the “Mexican Mafia” are in custody after a joint operation involving Los Angeles Police and the FBI, authorities announced Wednesday. The investigation, which began in October 2022, targeted alleged illegal firearms and drug trafficking by the Westside Wilmas criminal gang in L.A.’s Harbor region, LAPD said in a news release. “The investigation expanded beyond the Westside Wilmas and into the upper echelons of the Mexican Mafia.” Early Wednesday morning, authorities served multiple search warrants throughout the south bay and as far away as Bakersfield, police said. Mexican Mafia associate, Nazi sympathizer among those arrested in California gang sweep Agents arrested multiple suspects and seized “many” firearms, including ghost guns and assault weapons, police said. “Many pounds” of illegal narcotics, including fentanyl, were also seized. LAPD and the FBI scheduled a news briefing for 11 a.m. Wednesday. A similar operation involving LAPD and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives netted 18 arrests in February. JoJo Siwa’s L.A. home burglarized

Police are looking for burglars who broke into JoJo Siwa’s home in Tarzana early Monday morning. According to TMZ, officers responded to the entertainer’s home around 2:40 a.m. after getting a call from her alarm company. By the time they arrived, the suspects were gone. Siwa, 19, shared the security footage on social media, which she called an “armed robbery.”  Entertainment Tonight reports Siwa was away on a cruise at the time of the burglary and no one else was home. “I’m just happy that my family and pups are safe. Most important thing to me,” Siwa posted. “Do me a favor and hug your people extra tight tonight. Life is SCARY. And you never know when anything could happen.” It was not immediately known what was stolen. According to TMZ, Los Angeles Police found an open door at the property which is how they believe the burglars entered the home.
