One Person Stabbed During Fight In Roadway In Elk Grove, Police Say

ELK GROVE (CBS13) — Authorities said at least one person was stabbed during a fight in Elk Grove on Thursday. The Elk Grove Police Department said two people were fighting in the roadway near Calvine Road and Elk Grove Florin Road. One party stabbed the other, which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries police said. Elk Grove PD said there was a road closure in the area of Calvine Road and Elk Grove Florin Road just after 5 p.m. as a result of the incident. The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, Elk Grove PD said. No suspect description has been released at this time. The identity of the victim has not been released.

Chancellor: 1 Person Living At UC Davis Campus Being Tested For Coronavirus

DAVIS (CBS13) – UC Davis Chancellor Gary May says, out an abundance of caution, three members of the campus community have been isolated over coronavirus concerns. The people had been living in Kearney Hall on campus. Two of them are asymptomatic, May says, but the third person is being tested by the CDC for novel coronavirus. Police: Uncle In Custody Accused Of Kidnapping Nephew, 10, In Roseville; Boy Found Safe

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) — Roseville police said a 10-year-old boy was located safe and his uncle is in custody after the child was allegedly kidnapped Thursday morning. As of Thursday evening around 7, Roseville PD said the two were spotted by another driver traveling westbound along Interstate 80 near Dixon. The child was located safely by authorities during a traffic stop by CHP, police said, and the uncle was taken into custody. The missing juvenile has been located and is safe. Vehicle was spotted traveling on I-80 and called in by another driver. @CHP caught up with the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop in Yolo County. 3 Los Rios Community College District Students Exposed To Person Who Later Tested Positive For Coronavirus

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Los Rios Community College District says three of its students were exposed to a person who later tested positive for the novel coronavirus. In a statement, the district says three total students from American River College, Sacramento City College and Cosumnes River College were exposed while working off-campus last week. The district says both students from ARC and CRC returned to campus after the exposure and have shown no symptoms, but have since been instructed by county health officials to self-quarantine for 14 days. The SCC student did not return to campus after the exposure, district officials said, and has also been instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days. Sacramento County Public Health experts have told the district that classes and work schedules can continue as scheduled.

Police Searching For Missing Child Kidnapped By Uncle In Roseville

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) — Roseville police are searching for a missing 10-year-old boy who they said was kidnapped from his apartment by his uncle. Authorities said Izaivion Powell-Zeno, 10, was taken Thursday morning by his uncle, Michael Zeno, who is suspected of physically assaulting the boy’s parents and taken the child against his will. the Roseville Police Department said. Powell-Zeno is described as a black male juvenile with short black dreadlock hair, standing 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 70 pounds, the department said.
