Inland Empire apartment renters get slammed with one of the nation's biggest rent increases

The Inland area had the nation's second-highest annual average rent increase at 6.2 percent for June, with tenants paying $1,542 a month. The Inland area's year-over-year rent increase was topped only by Sacramento at 9.4 percent, apartment market data research company Axiometrics said Wednesday in its monthly report.
