Two die in Southern Humboldt rollover crash

MIRANDA - Two passengers sustain fatal injuries in a Southern Humboldt crash.
Officers say the crash took place this morning at 3:20am.
The driver, 60-year-old Steven Murray of Fortuna, was driving a GMC Yukon Northbound on Highway 101, north of French Road.
For reasons still under investigation, the GMC ran off the roadway, into a light pole and a redwood tree, causing the SUV to overturn and travel down an embankment.
Maple Hills Road is adjacent to the highway at this point, and the SUV came to rest on its left side on the road.
