Sisters slashed with knife outside downtown Oakland bar, suspect arrested

OAKLAND — Two sisters were slashed in the face with a knife during a fight outside a downtown bar Thursday evening and another woman was arrested, police said Friday.
One sister suffered serious cuts while the other was not injured as badly, police said.  Both were treated and released at a hospital.

Police said the sisters, one age 33 from Emeryville and the other age 24 from Richmond, had gone into Radio, a bar at 435 13th St., after purchasing a phone at a nearby store.
Police said the sisters began arguing with a 40-year-old Oakland woman and the dispute turned into a physical fight.
Police are not sure what the argument was about or if the women knew each other.
The fight spilled outside the bar where the sisters were slashed in the face by the other woman, police said.
Responding police arrested the suspect and recovered the knife.
Police did not release the suspect’s name pending a review of the case by the district attorney but said she was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem
