Driver ‘deliberately’ hit woman in Oakland, police say

OAKLAND — A 30 year-old woman was in critical condition Friday afternoon after police say she was deliberately hit by a vehicle in West Oakland.
Police said the incident happened at about 1:06 p.m. in the 700 block of Market St. The woman was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Police said the driver fled in the vehicle after hitting the woman. No motive has been determined yet, and no arrests have been made.
Police were interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance recordings from the area to get a description of the suspect and the vehicle.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8752.
