TV picks for Sunday, Aug. 13
“Teen Choice 2017” (8 p.m., Fox): Break out the surfboards. It’s a celebration of the year’s iconic stars from the best films, most-loved TV shows, fiercest music and the top moments in fashion, digital and comedy. Pop band Maroon 5 will be honored with the prestigious Decade Award, and Bruno Mars will receive the Visionary Award.
“Teen Wolf” (8 p.m., MTV): In “After Images,” while Scott and the others desperately pursue a missing werewolf, Melissa and Argent investigate the nature of a strange body. The episode was directed by Tyler Posey.
“The Nineties” (9 p.m., CNN): The documentary series continues with an installment focusing on the Information Age. The decade brought on the Internet along with a dark side of the tech boom in the form of hackers, online predators and the proliferation of pornography.
“Get Shorty” (10 p.m., Epix): Loosely based on a novel by Elmore Leonard, this offbeat new drama focuses on Miles Daly (Chris O’Dowd), muscle for a Nevada crime ring. Desperate to win back his wife and daughter, he travels to Los Angeles to collect on a debt from an aspiring screenwriter – whose script inspires Miles to give Hollywood a shot. Also starring Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Lidia Porto, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, Carolyn Dodd and Megan Stevenson.

“Insecure” (10 p.m., HBO):  At a day party, Issa has her newfound confidence shaken. Molly has a blast from the past with Dro, a childhood friend. A trip to the grocery store turns into a wild and crazy night for Lawrence.
