Murder-suicide suspected in Rancho Cucamonga deaths of child, adult

Complaints of a foul odor coming from a Rancho Cucamonga apartment led to discovery of the bodies of a 4-year-old boy and a 29-year-old female Wednesday that San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies are calling a murder-suicide, according to a sheriff’s news release.
“Investigators believe the female killed the child and then took her own life,” according to the news release about the discovery at the Avana Rancho Cucamonga apartment complex in the 10400 block of Arrow Route, west of Haven Avenue.
Deputies went to the complex at 11:34 a.m. following the complex employees’ report of making entry into the apartment and first finding the deceased juvenile.
Deputies asked anyone with information about the incident to contact sheriff’s homicide detail Detective James Williams at 909-387-3589.
