WATCH: Marquette King takes A’s batting practice in Raiders helmet

MESA, Ariz. — The A’s had a special guest join them for pre-game workouts before Monday’s game against the Giants.
Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King showed up to Hohokam Stadium dressed in a full A’s uniform looking to show off some of his skills on the diamond.

King has a home in Scottsdale, Arizona, and shares the same agent with A’s outfielder Mark Canha, so the connection was an easy one.

After a couple of nice swings in the cage wearing an A’s hat, King decided to give batting practice a go with his Raiders helmet on.
Things did not go so well.

After batting practice was over, King was given a football and showed off some of the skills he utilizes in his day job. Even relief pitcher Liam Hendriks, who played some Australian rules football growing up, got in on the action.

And here was @MarquetteKing a little more in his comfort zone. Liam Hendriks also got in on the fun. pic.twitter.com/ovWIzQ3rOB
