Alameda Theatre marking 10th year with 10 days of goodies

ALAMEDA — It’s been 10 years since the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex reopened its doors in 2008 after extensive restoration and addition of the Cineplex.
In celebration of this anniversary, the theater is hosting a 10-day thank-you celebration May 18-27 consisting of ongoing giveaways, special offers and surprise gifts for moviegoers.  Theater management wishes to say “thank you” for the support of their community and to those who have enjoyed the theater’s films and special events over the past 10 years.
Select movie guests will be surprised with free movie tickets, classic film series tickets, summer kids series tickets, Warriors playoff tickets, candy, Movie Money and random surprise free in-seat food deliveries before movies.
Two tickets to the premiere of “Solo: The Star Wars Story” will be awarded daily, and a random drawing will award four lucky moviegoers with two Oracle Arena Warriors playoff tickets. The Cinema Grill will offer a special “Anniversary Appetizer” with any $10 drink order. Box office specials will include “2 for $10 Tuesday” and “Age 10 & Under Free Wednesday.”
Daily pop-up popcorn stands will offer free popcorn outside the theater. Pop-up locations will be emailed to those who sign up for the Alameda Theatre newsletter at www.alamedatheatres.com .
