Angelina Jolie lands in London — as a guest of the royal wedding?

Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, Elton John and some of Meghan Markle’s former “Suits” castmates are among the celebrities said to be on the guest list for Saturday’s royal wedding.

But could Angelina Jolie be on the guest list as well — adding her mega-star wattage to the globally televised, “fairytale” marriage of the American actress to Prince Harry?
The Daily Mail  published photos  showing Jolie arriving at London’s Heathrow Airport Thursday. She had two of her children, Shiloh and Knox, and stacks of luggage in tow.
Her arrival of course fueled feverish speculation that the 42-year-old actress, director and superstar humanitarian could be another celebrity who will be in attendance at the grand event at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Then again, the Daily Mail was left wondering what Jolie’s connections were to the bride or groom. When it comes to the bride, it’s not necessarily the case that Oscar winner and A-list movie star Jolie had crossed paths in Hollywood with Meghan, whose claim to fame was starring in the TV legal procedural “Suits.”
Meanwhile, Harpers Bazaar pointed out that Meghan actually is close, personal friends with her other celebrity guests, including Chopra and Williams, who Page Six said has yet to confirm an invitation but who has nonetheless cleared her schedule.

Of course, it’s easy to imagine Meghan, as a once aspiring Hollywood actress with her own philanthropic bent, holding up Jolie as a role model. Before anyone else, Jolie made it cool to blend celebrity with globe-trotting humanitarian endeavors.
Harper’s Bazaar sounded pretty confident in proclaiming that Jolie was on the wedding guest list, citing her connections to Meghan’s future-grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth II.
In October 2014, Jolie met the queen at Buckingham Palace and was given the title of honorary Dame for her work across humanitarian and human rights initiatives. Specifically, the queen honored Jolie for “her work fighting against the use of sexual violence as a weapon during periods of war.” More recently, Jolie and the queen have been collaborating on the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy, an initiative to build a network of forest conservation projects around the world.
Even if Meghan and Jolie don’t know each other yet, they would seem to have some things in common that could lead to future collaborations once Meghan officially becomes a royal.

Meghan, like Jolie, has been passionate about using her platform to promote women’s rights and gender equality. Meghan also does some of her humanitarian work through the United Nations. Jolie is a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee while Meghan works with the UN Women initiative.
Of course, Jolie’s arrival in London could be pure coincidence and have nothing at all to do with the reasons that everyone else is flocking to London this weekend.
The Daily Mail said Jolie also has been traveling to and from London for more mundane reasons: to film the sequel to her hit 2012 film “Maleficent.”
