Ukiah City Council adopts Marbut homeless report 'in concept'

After clarifying exactly what "in concept" would obligate them to do, the Ukiah City Council voted Wednesday to adopt "in concept" a list of recommendations prepared by a homelessness expert recently hired by Mendocino County. "You are not literally committing yourself to adopting each one as described," City Attorney David Rapport told the City Council at its May 16 meeting, referring to the Homeless Needs Assessment and Action Steps report created by consultant Robert Marbut, describing the wording of the city resolution as allowing "for some flexibility in how the recommendations are addressed and implemented.
