CONCORD — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected in a recent purse snatching that injured an elderly woman.

The 93-year-old, who had been knocked to the ground, suffered what police describe as a significant injury and is still in the hospital.
Witnesses told police that a suspect, described as a Pacific Islander male about 30 years old with a bald head and heavy build, a tattoo on his right forearm and “gauge”-type earrings, fled the area in a white Chevrolet Malibu sedan.
