A look at gubernatorial candidate John Cox

There are two Republicans who have a shot at getting onto the November ballot in the governor’s race. A recent poll shows businessman John Cox at 10 percent, which is a hair behind Democrat Antonio Villaraigosa for second place in the primary election. The candidate who wins second goes on to November's general election. Cox was born and raised in Chicago. he ran for the House, the Senate and the Presidency there. He now lives in the San Diego area, where he works in real estate. He is a certified public accountant and has a law degree. Cox has four daughters.
