Police investigate Livermore armed robbery

LIVERMORE — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of robbing a check-cashing store.
At 3:53 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to Check Into Cash, 977 East Stanley Blvd., at the Peppertree Plaza shopping center for a report of an armed robbery.
After arriving, officers learned a suspect had walked in and demanded money from a clerk before firing a handgun once into the store’s ceiling.
Witnesses were not able to provide a complete description of the suspect, who then got into a green, four-door vehicle that was last seen heading eastbound on Stanley.
Another witness reported finding that vehicle several blocks away. Officers, who approached and found it empty, later learned it had been reported stolen.
Anyone with information should call Livermore police at 925-371-4777.
