Anthony Hopkins doesn’t know if he’s a granddad, and he doesn’t care

Is Anthony Hopkins a bad grandpa?
Maybe, maybe not. Depends on if he’s a grandfather at all, which is something the Oscar-winning actor couldn’t positively confirm.
During an interview with Radio Times, Hopkins stated that he’s unaware if his estranged daughter, Abigail Hopkins, has any children. And he added that it isn’t really a concern of his.
“I don’t have any idea,” the 80-year-old actor said. “People break up. Families split and, you know, ‘Get on with your life.’ People make choices. I don’t care one way or the other.”
When asked about his frosty attitude toward the subject, Hopkins turned down the thermostat even more.
“Well, it is cold. Because life is cold,” he said.
Abigail, 48, is the only child of the “Silence of the Lambs” and “Westworld” actor. Her mother was Hopkins’ first wife, Petronella Barker, whom Hopkins left when Abigail was a toddler, according to the Telegraph .

Dad and daughter were reunited in the 1990s, and Abigail even appeared on two of her father’s movies, “Shadowlands” and “The Remains of the Day.” But the reunion didn’t last long, and the two are no longer in touch.
Abigail’s website lists her a singer-songwriter, actress and acting coach.
