Lead found in school's water a second time

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - For the second time in just over one year, the drinking water at a University Heights-area school has tested positive for lead, the San Diego Unified School District said Wednesday. The lead was found during routine testing of Birney Elementary School’s drinking fountains, according to the Facilities Communications Manager. The fountains were shut off and parents were notified, the district said. No one has become ill.
