Jersey Mike’s Subs expands to San Pablo, Gilroy

Who else but a Northeast chain would offer a salami, ham and provolone sandwich called the Stickball Special?
It’s on the menu now in San Pablo, and soon in Gilroy, as Jersey Mike’s Subs widens its reach in the Bay Area.
The sandwich chain founded in 1956 first came to this region in 2013, opening in Santa Clara. These days, the shops pepper the South Bay and are making inroads in the East Bay.
The San Pablo location, now open at the San Pablo Towne Center, is the first in West Contra Costa. (There’s Danville in the eastern side of the county.)  An official grand opening celebration is scheduled for noontime on June 7.
