Request for speed bumps, closure of alley denied in Ukiah

The city's Traffic Engineering Committee Tuesday denied requests for speed bumps and a stop sign, but did approve removing parking areas on Washington Avenue and near Airport Park Boulevard. Public Works Director Tim Eriksen said that the request to create "No Parking" zones at the ends of two cul-de-sacs off of Airport Park Boulevard - one between Walmart and the Furniture Design Center and the other between Ken Fowler Auto and Costco -was not contested at the July 10 meeting and city staff recommended the request be granted.
