SAN BRUNO — A 20-year-old Oakland man was arrested early Monday after he allegedly tried to sexually assault a woman at a San Bruno shopping center, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the Sears Auto Center at the Shops at Tanforan about 12:10 a.m. for a report of a dispute between a man and a woman. Once there, officers learned a man had followed a woman from the nearby BART station at 1151 Huntington Ave.
“The suspect attacked the victim and pulled her to a dark corner of a parking lot where it is believed he intended to sexually assault her,” San Bruno police said in a news release.
An investigation identified Kevin Ramos as a suspect. He was found in the area and arrested.
Ramos was booked into San Mateo County Jail on charges related to attempted sexual assault, kidnapping and narcotics possession.
