Pomona stabbing leaves 2 people in serious condition

Police were searching for a man who they believe stabbed two people and fled on foot in Pomona on Saturday afternoon, March 9, authorities said.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Mission Boulevard just before 1:45 p.m. and found a man and a woman with stab wounds to their upper torsos, Lt. M. Perez said.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital in serious condition, Perez said.
The suspect was seen running from the location just before officers arrived on scene, Perez said. He was described only has having numerous tattoos.
The department’s Major Crimes Unit was en route to the scene to assist with the investigation, Perez said.
Further details were not immediately available.
Residents were urged to avoid Mission Boulevard between Reservoir Street and East End Avenue.
