Report: Raiders giving OT Trent Brown record deal

The Raiders are signing left tackle Trent Brown to a four-year, $66 million deal with $36.75 million guaranteed, according to ESPN, which makes him the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history.
With that kind of contract, Brown will assuredly play left tackle. He won a Super Bowl last season protecting Tom Brady’s blind side. Kolton Miller, the Raiders’ 2018 first-round pick who started at left tackle last year, will presumably move to right tackle.
The highest-paid right tackle in the NFL is the Eagles’ Lane Johnson, who makes a shade over $11 million annually. Brown will make over $16 million per year. That’s left tackle money, even if Miller is admittedly far more comfortable on the left side. He played right tackle at UCLA, but will now have to re-learn a new position.
