Chico police arrest suspect in car vandalism spree

CHICO — A Chico man has been arrested on suspicion of vandalizing more than a dozen cars in a north Chico neighborhood, police said.
Cameron Lacy, 19, was arrested Monday on suspicion of felony vandalism in connection with the damage done to 14 vehicles last month in the area of Cinder Creek and Ruby River drives, according to a news release from the Chico Police Department.

Lacy was taken to Butte County Jail in Oroville for booking, police said.
Police responded about 8 a.m. Feb. 23 to the 3100 block of Cinder Creek Drive after receiving information that multiple vehicles in the neighborhood had been damaged, police said.
Officers at the time noted that a dozen vehicles had been vandalized, with most of the damage comprising punctured tires, police said. The damage was estimated to cost thousands of dollars.
Security images from a home in the area indicated the person responsible was male. Related Articles
