13-year-old boy dead after crash between bicycle and vehicle in Fontana

A 13-year-old boy died after a crash involving a bicycle and vehicle in Fontana on Monday afternoon.
Gabriel Morales, spokesman for the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office, said the boy was on a bicycle near Merrill and Hemlock avenues when the crash happened just before 1 p.m.
The boy was transported to a hospital in Loma Linda, where he died at approximately 1:39 p.m., Morales said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. CHP officials couldn’t immediately be reached for further details on the collision.
