Oakland strong-arm robbery suspects sought

OAKLAND — Investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding suspects in an strong-arm robbery of a UPS truck outside a wireless store in the city’s Lakeshore District, authorities said.
At 12:18 p.m., police responded to calls about a robbery in the 3100 block of Lakeshore Avenue.
Officers later learned that a UPS driver was making a delivery to the Sprint Store, 3199 Lakeshore Ave., when three suspects came up and starting taking packages.
After roughing up a person who saw and tried to stop the theft, the suspects fled in a nearby vehicle with packages containing up to $20,000 in electronic devices.
Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $2,500 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the robbers.
