Possible explosive device found in FBI search of Oakland hills home

OAKLAND — A possible explosive device  was found Tuesday morning during a search of an Oakland hills home by the FBI, authorities said.
The device was found by agents serving a search warrant in connection to a robbery investigation, sources said.
The device was found before 9 a.m. in a home in the 2400 block of Stockbridge Drive, a residential area of  expensive homes  between Skyline Boulevard and Shepherd Canyon Road.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad responded to the scene to evaluate the device and take steps to disarm it if necessary. There were reported evacuations of residents in the area.
No other details about the investigation were immediately released, including whether anyone has been arrested.
