Non-profit “Just in Time” helping young adults transition out of foster care



SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – May is National Foster Care month. And one local organization helps those who are transitioning from the foster care system to being out on their own when they become adults.
The nonprofit Just in Time Foster Care helps former foster children in many ways.
One program it has is called My First Home called. At its distribution center in Mission Gorge, qualifying young adults who are coming out of foster care can pick out furniture to furnish their first apartment or home.
The program has proven to help former foster children to become confident capable and connected.
