Temecula man arrested on suspicion of raping a drugged victim

A Temecula man has been arrested by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of raping a drugged victim.
Officials said in a press release Tuesday that Mark Richard Neeley II was arrested Friday after an investigation into an alleged sexual assault started in the early hours of Friday. Jail records show he was booked on suspicion of raping a drugged victim.
Deputies responded to the area of Rancho California Road and Ynez Road regarding a call about a person who had been sexually assaulted at a townhome in the 44000 block of Bellflower Lane in Temecula, the Sheriff’s Department said.

“A search warrant was served by investigators at Neeley’s residence and evidence linking Neeley to the incident was located,” officials said in a press release. “Investigators have identified additional victims with similar accusations against Neeley.  Investigators are conducting further investigation into those other incidents.”
Neeley was booked into the Southwest Detention Center with a bail of $1 million.
