Warming trend hits the north valley at fair time

Take away the rain and clouds, and temperatures in mid-May turn warm.
A high temperature around 79 degrees is what the National Weather Service has forecasted for Wednesday, with some clouds remaining.
The overnight low will hover around 57 Wednesday night and through the next couple of nights.
However windy conditions remain, with a wind from the north of up to 20 mph, and gusts up to 24 mph possible. North winds continue overnight at about the same strength.
Temperatures for Thursday — the start of the Silver Dollar Fair in Chico — look to be warmer, pushing into the low 80s.
