Diaper Bank Reaches 1 Million Milestone, Seeks Community Support

The Diaper Bank of the Inland Empire has distributed 1 million diapers to families in need in the Riverside area, marking a significant milestone for the public health project.

Run by the Junior League of Riverside, the initiative aims to ensure every child has access to clean, dry, and healthy diapers.

The organization provides supplemental diapers to over 500 children monthly, but demand continues to outpace available resources. With more than 300 children on the waiting list, the Diaper Bank urgently appeals for community support.

As part of Diaper Need Awareness Week, Sept. 23-27, the organization is raising awareness about the ongoing need for diaper donations. Diaper needs impact approximately one in three U.S. families, potentially harming the financial and emotional well-being of struggling households.

Courtney Garcia, Community Relations and Project Manager of Junior League of Riverside’s Diaper Project says, “With this milestone of distributing 1 million diapers, we have seen firsthand the positive impact on families throughout the Inland Empire. But we need the community’s support now more than ever to ensure no child is left behind without essential hygiene products.”
