(UPDATE: 7:00 p.m.) – Santa Barbara County fire officials say one person was transported by helicopter to the hospital. That person was ejected from one of the vehicles. Fire officials say three other people were transported by ground to a nearby hospital. Two with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries. ___ Santa Barbara County firefighters and California Highway Patrol officers are responding to reports of a multi-vehicle crash near Vandenberg Space Force Base. The crash happened along Highway 1 near Firefighter Road at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. As of 6:30 p.m., both lanes in the area are blocked along Highway 1. According to Santa Barbara County fire, six vehicles were involved in the crash, with four people suffering injuries. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.This is a developing story and will be updated when new information becomes available.

The Anaheim City Council has voted to approve a measure for a massive $1.9 billion expansion proposal by Disney, also known as Disneyland Forward. City council members voted 7-0 for the proposal early Wednesday morning, following an 8-hour meeting. Among the 46,000 people in Los Angeles experiencing homelessness, there are dozens living along the Arroyo Seco next to the 110 Freeway near Highland Park.   Those living there have constructed a number of different makeshift structures, some with tents, tarps and other scrap materials, but at least one of the structures, complete with a stone wall, a walkway, a front door, electric-powered lighting and even a hammock for relaxing, stands out.   The people living in the seemingly well-kept structure did not want to speak to KTLA, and as might be expected, those living near the riverfront domicile have differing opinions on the encampment.   One woman who lives nearby told KTLA’s John Fenoglio in Spanish that unhoused residents don’t bother her, and that most of those living along the Arroyo are quiet and keep to themselves.   Neighbor Mike Ancheta does not feel the same, though he admitted some of the handiwork on the structures is impressive.   “I was just admiring the work that they’ve done,” he told KTLA. “Then, of course, you get violently attacked by these guys.”   As far

Firefighters extinguished a fire at a hamburger restaurant in the Westlake district in 14 minutes Tuesday evening with no injuries reported. The fire at Jim’s Burgers at 3033 Beverly Blvd., between Hoover Street and Rampart Boulevard, was reported at 9:34 p.m. and 32 firefighters were sent to the scene, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Prange said.
