No ticket sold for the drawing matched all six numbers, so the jackpot is growing to at least $1.09 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing. Here are the winning numbers for Monday: 19, 24, 40, 42, 56 and the Powerball is 23 A jackpot winner can choose to receive the money in annual payments or take a lump sum estimated at $483.8 million. A Powerball spokesperson said this is only the fifth advertised Powerball jackpot to reach $1 billion. The prize ranks as Powerball’s fifth-largest jackpot overall and the largest advertised jackpot, so far, this year. Wednesday’s $1.09 billion could be the fourth-largest Powerball prize ever. Student loan forgiveness: Dept. of Education’s SAVE Plan could lower payments, forgive loans

CHICAGO — Student loan burrowers could be missing out on a break through the Department of Education’s Saving on a Valuable Education, or SAVE, plan. Federal officials said millions of people are already lowering their monthly student loan payments because of the SAVE Plan, and now more people could qualify for new loan savings or forgiveness. “I have both loans for my graduate and undergraduate degree but if it can help me lower my payment that would be helpful,” said borrower Peace Odili. The Department of Education said more people like Odili could be eligible for early loan forgiveness if they try to qualify for the SAVE plan. DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip — An apparent Israeli airstrike killed four international aid workers with the World Central Kitchen charity and their Palestinian driver late Monday, hours after the group brought in a new shipload of food by a maritime route the United States has hoped would be an alternative lifeline for northern Gaza. Footage showed the bodies of the five dead at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza town of Deir al-Balah. Several of them wore protective gear with the charity’s logo. Staff showed the passports of three of the dead – British, Australian and Polish. The nationality of the fourth aid worker was not immediately known. The charity posted several photos hours before, saying “WCK teams mobilize across Gaza daily to distribute food to displaced Palestinians.” The Israeli military said it was conducting a review “to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.” World Central Kitchen, the charity founded by celebrity chef José Andrés, said it was aware of the reports, saying “This is a tragedy.
